Level 1 - Bubblesĭuring this level students will work towards doing 10 successful bobs with rhythmic breathing. Must be at least six months of age, no skill prerequisites. Children must wear a snug fitted swim diaper. Parents must be in the water with the children for this class. Children must be between 6 months and 3 years to attend. Registration can be done online (here).Īll are welcome! Participants do not need to be members of the Fitness and Aquatic Center or New Prague residents to participant in our swim lesson program.įor this level, an instructor will lead parents and children through various activities to acclimate children to the water and teach them basic safety of being in and around the pool.

Registration for our next set of lessons opens on April 25th. Lifeguard Certification and SwimAmerica Lesson Instructor classes are offered several times each year Call Community Education, at 95, with questions. Lessons are available for infants through adults.
New Prague Area Community Education and the City of New Prague team up in offering SwimAmerica swimming lessons taught by certified SwimAmerica Instructor Coaches. Coaching swimming is Chuck's passion he has dedicated his life to helping young athletes achieve their goals and dreams in the pool.Ĭoach Chuck holds assessments several times each year to properly place new swimmers in the most appropriate skill group. He has coached swimmers from beginners to NAG top 16 swimmers and has had a swimmer ranked number 1 in the country in the YMCA swim program.

Coach Chuck has been a professional swim coach since 1995 working with High School, YMCA, Summer League and Club Teams as well as volunteering for 2 Special Olympics Teams. Our energetic and personable head swim coach, Chuck Webb, has extensive experience as a youth swimming coach. You can visit the website at Swim Program USA Swimming works with 59 LSC’s (local swimming committees), athletes, coaches and volunteers at all levels to provide a variety of services to approximately 220,000 registered athletes, 20,000 nonathletes and 2,500 swim teams. The organization directs America’s largest age group swimming program of guided fitness activity for children. Our athletes can choose to compete in local and regional meets.Īlthough we have registration windows for each season, we will consider adding swimmers year round as is appropriate for all concerned. The Neptune community hosts several swim meets that the New Prague Aquatic Center each year. These skills are the cornerstone of success at the elite level. Basic technical skills must be established early and continually developed over the course of a multi-year training program.
Neptune Aquatics believes in serving the total athlete and fosters a Long Term Athlete Development Model to ensure that swimmers progress at a rate that is comfortable for them and that keeps their interest in the sport for a lifetime. We offer opportunities for swimmers to practice and/or compete with others in their age groups and within their ability levels. Since its inception, the Neptune Aquatics Swim Club has continued to grow in numbers and accomplishments.

Neptune Aquatics' mission is to make a positive impact on the lives and personal health of its swimmers by promoting self-respect, good sportsmanship and an overall love for the sport of swimming. This club is open to children ages 6 and up. The New Prague Aquatic Center is home to the Neptune Aquatics Swim Club.
